[Ilugc] deb vs. rpm

The tool that makes Debian based systems powerful is apt-get (yum still
needs much more improvements, like supporting CDROM repositories, to be on
par with apt). Also debconf (it asks configuration questions during the
install time and there is no need to manually edit any files) makes it easy
to configure a deb package. I guess rpm has a similar feature  but I have
not seen it used.

Apt-rpm has been available for a long long time now. If you think 
Debian's strength is apt-get I have to say you miss the point. Btw, Yum 
doesnt care where the repositories are. It can be in nfs, http or in 
your media. If you mean media switching, the latest version of yum has 
support for that.
