Hi Mitch I have been using Allegro on Linux for 5 months. I saw a major problem when I tried to use VNC on my PC to the Linux box. Allegro worked but the mouse was unusable. When you went to pan it would jump right off the screen. No one seemed to have a fix for this. Now I work directly on the Linux box and it works great. Much faster than my 3GHZ PC. I have not seen your issues exactly. One issue I did see was when I started the Project Manger and then ran Concept and Allegro it worked fine. But when I brought up Constraint Manager it brought the system to it's knees. So slow I couldn't do anything. Once I closed CM the performance came back. I questioned Cadence on this and their response was they had never seen this. Which is no surprise. Like: - Mouse clicks too quick? Often times will cancel out the command, and I have to run the command again, and start over. - Info screens don't stay up? When I click INFO, for instance, I have to select the element twice in order for the window to stay displayed. I do like the plane fills (shaped display) better on linix. They are much more 'see thru' than on XP. Good job with that. Let me know if you help suggestions. Good day. Mitch ----------------------------------------- Stay ahead of the information curve.
