Mike,

I don't usually create Static shapes, mostly Dynamic.
With dynamic shapes, you can select the shape, RMB -> Parameters, then
under the "Clearances" tab, adjust all the different clearances. I
don't think this will work on a Static shape, you have to change it to
dynamic in order for it to clear (void) around vias, pins etc.

I've also used Allegro for a long time (but *just* 12 years), I think
once you really figure out the new shape editor, you will like it a lot.
It's much better than the old way of auto void, problem points etc.

After almost 20 years of using this tool and having almost
Everything running off the add or edit command I never would
Have thought to look there.

The whole shape process does not follow the general flow that
Allegro has typically used in the past. Still trying to figure
Out how to do a void-all on a static shape.

Works great thanks,
Mike

Gary,
Cool move! Thanx. That's a nice feature I didn't realize was there.
Will come in very handy.

Mike,

Here's how I copy a shape:

- On the menu at top, click Shape -> Select Shape or Void

- Click on the shape to be copied (it highlights)

- On the highlighted shape, RMB -> Copy (copies to the layer the shape
is on), OR (this one is great!) RMB -> Copy to Layers (you can then copy
the highlighted shape to just one or many layers at once!

Good luck,
