I could, alternately, just pull out the hard drive entirely. It's an
upgradable lappy (RAM/hard drive... maybe even wireless), so if there is
no way to disable the drive in the BIOS, I'll just pull the drive and see
what happens. Think setting the BIOS to defaults might also clarify the
issue (clear up any problems), if the BIOS is causing the problem?
