#8111: Haiku refuses to boot. on Gateway NV55S09u -------------------------+----------------------- Reporter: Luposian | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: - General | Version: R1/alpha3 Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: x86 -------------------------+----------------------- Comment (by Luposian): Do I activate syslog with local APIC disabled (which will allow it to get to the desktop) or with nothing disabled, which will cause Haiku to KDL? I'm assuming the former, because it won't retain the syslog otherwise, right? Now, if you activate syslog, with nothing disabled, and it crashes, but retains the syslog information, then you would reboot and then disable local APIC, to get to the desktop and acquire the syslog, but... somehow I don't think that would work... ... would it? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8111#comment:12> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
