Oh Jim, yeah, I reckon this one certainly counts. I think you need to take some of that chocolate medicine. It does the trick for me, lol. Well I like to think it does at least.. -----Original Message----- From: James Liddell - Email Address: james.liddell2@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent On: 29/05/2012 21:39 Sent To: clare moulds - Email Address: clare@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: In Reply To: [guide.chat] Hi Jim Senior moment? Does this one count? A fortnight ago I was due to help in the worship at a local care home. ( Most of those residents are sadly suffering from dementia, so it wouldn't have mattered what I said anyway.) I was due to join our pianist and what passes for a choir at three o'clock, outside the home. I got my glad rags on, got on the bus outside my front door -there's a stop there, got off and toddled up to the home. Three o'clock came. And went. Five past three. The door opened, and a puzzled looking care worker asked: "Can I help you, sir?" "Oh, yes, I must be late. I'm here for the service." "Oh, come in; it started quarter of an hour ago." I went in, my bright clothes must have jarred. Everyone else was wearing black. There was a coffin - I nearly tripped over it! It was the WRONG care home. The one I SHOULD have gone to was fifty yards up the road. I rest my case...
