Conservation of angular momentum does not mean everything must spin the
same way.

Mike.

True. Leaving out the big bang, despite theological arguments that the
universe must have been created by a Super intelligence, because of the
perfect order, which I deny because of the obvious chaotic nature really
presented to us, ( the haemophrodite is a sufficient example) ; then in this
chaos, even though all of the galaxies would tend to follow the same angular
direction of rotation, there could be in such a chaotic world, mishaps that
would have spin-offs in the counter direction, or even at right angles to
it..... Now that's a long sentence that would try any young-un today..
You don't see many journalists writing them in any newspaper these days, but
it was common in the early 1900's.
