- I still fail to see the problem with puzzle caches. You are still using a GPS to find the cache...you just have to work to get the coordinates. :) ________________________________ From: Jim Bensman <junkmailno@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Mon, January 4, 2010 3:47:48 PM Subject: [GeoStL] Re: National Forest also needs to be clairified-the 3 finders did not bookmark a cache in a NF-RE: Re: Island cache! - Mike, that is a fair question. I would not say I am a "founder" but I was actively involved in getting Geocaching established. I started in June 2001, am a charter (i.e., original) member of gc.com, and in the early days I had more hides than anyone else in the world. You can judge for yourself if that qualifies me to say what I think the original spirit was. I am conservative when it comes to Geocaching. I think a better comparison than the Amish, would be like someone not wanting to allow touchdowns in baseball. With paperless caching, it is still about trying to find something with a GPS. What will be interesting is when GPS get accurate to a foot or inches. Then what do we do-intentially give bad cords????
