I had the same issue with the N600c I'm using for kiosk development. At the moment I haven't been running it since it gets so hot, for a while I had a small cpu fan taped to the side, in addition the keyboard, mouse, and display shutdown after a while requiring a hard reboot to get the system back. I think it will work OK as a demo system but it is definitely a Linux hostile system. From what I understand it was a pretty good Windows system. On the plus side we could have the worlds first combination laptop/popcorn popper. Mike PS I should make it Tuesday this week. -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Brown <tbrown@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Now I'm thinking the lack of cooling may have killed the power subsystem > for the display on the first laptop I tested.
