George and Listers: It is the [sc] "Conditional Skip Line Code", as in: [sc1:0] which is defined in all the heading styles for BANA rules in DBT, that prevents a blank line occurring, when a heading appears at the top of a new page. The 1 and zero, as shown in the above example of the [sc] code, tells DBT to check how many lines there are on the page preceding the heading. if the line count is greater than 1, then the conditional blank line is inserted before the heading. If the line count is 0, the conditional blank line before the heading is dropped, thus allowing the heading to appear on the first line of a page. The [sk] "Skip Line Code" on the other hand, as in: [sk1] will force a blank line to appear, regardless as to where the blank line appears on a page, even if the blank line is line 1. In that case, the heading would appear on line 2.
