not really, when you load a file as raw data it will read anything, even 
corrupt material, it will read it just as data and what makes a difference 
is what your format settings are, this means that most of the time the 
result will be noise but if you have just the right audio settings it will 
read it correctly with just some clicking noises that  is the project data.
i've done it many times in the past.
