It's been a while since I upgraded my drivers in my MOTU gear. Basically, if you can get sighted assistance on a one time basis to do whatever you need to do, such as making sure that your pans in the cue mix are set hard left and right, and that nothing is muted, you should be fine after that. -----Original Message----- From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike C Sent: Monday, March 24, 2008 4:41 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Re: motu sound card ok Gord that's great, do you then control the overall output by Sonar and control all your inputs by Sonar as well, and leave the q mix stuff alone at all costs? I can't begin to tell you how great this card sounds, and the responce in Sonar is fantastic too. I just don't know why I didn't purchase one earlier. The presonus sounds great too, but it was mainly the pops and clicks I was getting when using my lap top, and no mater what I did, I couldn't get my system to work properly. So the presonus is primarly used on my desktop, and the motu on the laptop. However, I may decide to get a second motu to travel with, as I can clearly see that the stability in their drivers is great, even under vista. ---- Original Message ----- From: Gordon <mailto:dbmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Kent To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 24, 2008 5:22 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: motu sound card Mike: I never have even tried to bother with the cue mix console. Since you have a newer version of the motu than I have and they have made some changes, I couldn't tell you how to raise the output. I think it may be set to -10db but I'm not sure about that. My only concern is on how to get around the Q mixing console, do I need to use the Jaws cursor? and how can I efectivly lower or raise the main out volume? Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
