your absolutly right Phil, as I noticed that the Presonus for some reason has to connect twice to my system, and I can hear this because the sounds of connection run twice when I switch the unit on, where as with the motu the sound is only once, and in working with Sonar, I noticed remarkible improovement with response, even on my desktop. If only I could get some one to give me a tour of the q mix console. ----- Original Message. ----- From: Phil Muir To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 24, 2008 11:07 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: motu sound card Mike wrote: I noticed that the motu has less pops and clicks on my laptop, and that response is much better in sonar. Phil replied: not surprised by that at all. Your probably getting better performance from the MOTU because it's drivers are better written. What happened? ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike C To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, March 23, 2008 7:59 AM Subject: [ddots-l] motu sound card Hey Gord or any one on list, I just purchased the Motu 8pre, and love the card sound so far. My only concern is on how to get around the Q mixing console, do I need to use the Jaws cursor? and how can I efectivly lower or raise the main out volume? Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
