Inserting a synth from the menu puts the synth in the synth rack, and automatically creates audio and MIDI tracks that already are routed to the synth. If you use the synth from the effects bin of a track, then you can automate it, just as with audio effects. Also, some of the synth's parameters may show up in the track inspector. What is the difference between inserting a soft synth by going to alt I, then inserting it that way, or if you rout jaws to pc on a midi track, then insert an audio track, and then insert the soft synth as an effect in the effects bin of the audio track? 2. When I insert a soft synth, do I need to go to the midi track assigned to the soft synth and assign it to a midi channel? Thanks.
