MessageYou will get that, but you have to put the motif into usb mode for it to
work in USB. I think it is utily, then f5, then sf4.

I'm getting the USB connection ring sound, so I think it's already there, I
could be wrong though.

Have you put your motif into usb mode from within the utilities menu?

I'm not using midi, I'm using the USB connection. All the outputs and
inputs are set.

        omar:
i don't think the problem is your sonar instrument definitions. iyou
should check your midi connections and your midi output configurations in sonar.

I'm not sure I follow you. How do I fix it? The Motif banks and
patches are appearing.

            Omar:
You are probably sending select messages to your motif for banks
that were meant for the Roland. If you try to access a bank that doesn't
exist, you probably won't hear anything.

              Hi Everyone:

I just reinstalled a motif to use it with sonar. I did all the
usual stuff; ins def files, outputs, inputs, etc. I'm not getting any sound
however. When I went to delete the ins def files for my roland xv5080 which I'm
not longer using with sonar, a message came up that said "these instruments are
still being used by one or more ports, do you still want to delete them?" I
clicked on okay, but I'm still getting no sound from the motif.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
