It is a very compressed (low quality) jpeg. It has a size ca.
1650x2400. In sprite terms (which is effectively what is being
displayed), it is over 11 MB in size.

Yes, it loads ok into DPScan when the memory size is upped in
choices. Looking at my own choices setting it is at 500MB! This is so
that jpegs of 10000x7000 can be loaded into real memory, which I
needed to do a while back 8)
In my own defence (says he), the hard-wired default choices I used
for when no choices file can be found, which would apply when a new
installation was first used before any new settings had been saved,
were copied from the default config file supplied in previous
versions of DPScan. These are suitable for legacy hardware, but not
really suitable for modern hardware.
Looks like I need to add something more explanatory to the manual and
possibly a ReadMe file.
