'.DPlngScan0' sounds like virtual memory is being (or attempted to be)
used. You might go to DPScan choices and give it more real memory to avoid
this.

Setting a 'Temporary file' helps.

Just one more thing. Double clicking on a jpeg runs a further instance of
DPlingScan but without displaying anything if 'Double click run' is not
ticked.
