I also agree with this issue....people who have the time to go and stalk
other people online should be doing something better with their time. Its a
scary thought to have children online chatting to other people that they do
not know. Who knows what the other person on the other end of a chat
conversation.

Stalking Issue
I agree with the stalking issue. This is a horrible thing done by people with nothing better to do. People who like to chat online should be extremely careful about who they chat with. They should only chat with people they know who are close friends or family. It is too risky to talk to someone who is an aquaintance, and especailly someone you don't know. I can't believe that people will rape and kill these people. That is so horrible.

Stalking is a dangerous societal issue. With so much personal information on the Internet today, it is becoming more and more common. If you are not careful, a stalker can get personal information about you and use it to follow and harrass you all over the Internet. We have all heard in the news about people meeting up with people from online and end up missing, raped, or killed. You can never know who is really on the other side of the computer screen.
CyberAngels (http://www.cyberangels.org) is a website you can go to for information on security, safety, and what to do if you are being stalked. It also has a thing called Net Patrol, which searches the Internet for child pornography, stalkers, scam artists, and other things that need to be removed from the Internet.
