I have an Epson Perfection 1650. It worked really well, considering all I
put it through with scanning school books. I now attend a community college
with some great supportive services, and they're great at getting all of my
books on e-text, so that's not so much of an issue now as it once was, but I
have to have my scanner! *smile* Take care.

Just wondering what kind of scanner you had that finally called it quits.
I'm still using my faithful hp 5p scanner, which I've had since 1997, wonder
how long it will last. Most people prefer the epson scanners. I have a
microtek scanner at work which is a bit slow, but it certainly gets the job
done. If you want an epson scanner at a good price, you might check ebay.
Just enter epson perfection in the search, and you'll probably get lots of
results.

> Hi, all. OK, my scanner finally bit the dust. I knew it was coming,
but...oh, well. Anyway, I really want the Epson Perfection 3170, but it's
just a little out of my price range right now, and I need a scanner. *smile*
Does anyone else have any good suggestions that might be a little cheaper?
Thanks, and take care.
