hi: yes. they are very good. they have a small port on each speaker
that puts out excellent bass for there size. they use four AA bateries.

Hi, Is anyone using a small set of external speakers with their Book Port that they really like?
Also, although, I am not overly fond of ear buds, I would like a good pair.
The ones that came with the Book Port I do not find comfortable, and seem to
have a loud hiss in the background.
