Working on fax machines is one of the great plus features of magic jack. I'm going to install mine on the fax machine so that it is in use always, the fax will then have a dedicated line. This means that I must plug magic jack into my desktop usb then into my fax machine.
I don' t think I will be using a phone, I will let you know when I install.I'm getting ready to go to Mobile Alabama to a GMAC Bowl with our son so that means that I will be using my Magic Jack in the hotel.
The only thing that you can not do with Magic Jack is to try to use more than one cordless phone. You can only use one phone and no extensions per my sister.

I use magic jack with the cheapest cordless phone I found out there for ten bucks, and it works well. I can't say whether or not any phone works better, but I can tell you that the phone I have been using works really well. Thanks Nimer J Nimer M. First, is there a preferable phone to use with this VOIP situation? I tried one of the old trim line phones from the last century and the results are mixed. I think it might have a problem in the cord. Second, does one have to stay with a corded phone or can one use a cordless? Thank you.
