So as long as I make and receive calls in the country of my choice, then it
is unlimited, is that correct?

I used the system and so far it was free.

You are correct when you say minutes are not unlimited if you call a country

abroad?

Example: My son's girlfriend lives in Canada. She assigned herself a US
phone number which allows her to send and receive calls from a US phone
number. If she had assigned herself a Canadian number this would have meant

international calling . I saw the list of numbers used by magic jack, yes
there were fees up to .99 cents per minute and as low as .09 cents per
minute.

Hope this helps
