Hi, The validating tools could assume that the end of a paragraph closes the tagged text. There is RTF markup that indicates that. I tend to agree with you on the tags. However,--because I am lazy--I would prefer to see .h1 instead of <h1>, because that's one less character to mess up. What about the tag endings (</h1> to end a heading 1 section.) Would these end tags be necessary? Yesterday someone (I think it was Jim) posted a link to mark down codes.
