Hi Chris, The only reason I can think of is if you changed your Bookshare password. If I'm not mistaken, the password you use when unzipping the book has to mirror the one you used when downloading the book, initially. HTH Blessings. Thanks. I did try as you suggested and use the extract choice rather than just copying and pasting, and a couple files that are in the zipped folder did get moved, but the actual book didn't. And when I entered my password, it said my password was invalid one time, and then it didn't seem to. It acted all weird. I wonder if it's possible for my password not to work on one particular book because of some reason I can't think of, as stupid as that may sound. Hmmm. I'm baffled. I suppose there's nothing else I can do but do as Ann recommended and fill out a form on-line that the file may be corrupted. Rats! And I've been looking forward to reading this book for a long time. Chris Feist - The one and only! -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of Lynn I Hi Chris, Just a suggestion ... but rather than copying and pasting your zipped files, if you're using Windows Xp, , you might try: 1. Highlight zipped folder name; 2. Use menu or (alt) key and arrow down to "extract" files. It's a dialog box, as you may know; and 3. Follow the prompts. HTH Blessings. Lynn I ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Feist" <ccfeist@xxxxxxxxxx> Ah! I have an update. Just to see, I tried to extract the files from a different zipped book I downloaded from Bookshare, and when I entered the password it worked fine with that one. Apparently, there is a problem with the first book I tried to extract. Just to be sure it wasn't a bad download on my part, I just redownloaded the book I couldn't extract and I still have the same issue of not being able to move the files out of the zipped folder. The book I'm trying to extract is A Slobbering Love Affair by Bernard Goldberg. What should I do? I'm at a dead end. Chris Feist - The one and only! Yup, The password prompt comes up. I then type in my Bookshare password, but when I enter on OK, I hear a bonk sound and nothing else happens. I can't move the files for some reason. When I'm in the zipped folder, I do a Control-A to select all, then I hit Control-C to copy, then I alt-tab into the folder I want to insert the book. Then I Control-V to paste. When that prompt comes up, I enter the password as mentioned but bonk, bonk, bonk. LOL. I'm using the same password I log on to the site with, and it's the same one I used in the past to extract books before the change. Any thoughts?
