Sorry, I'm a bit confused by your message, but I don't think you should be
removing the copyright info for the individual stories. May I ask why you
decided to do that? If you were asking about the numbers that seem to be
for footnotes? I would leave them in, but make sure the numbers have a
space between them and surrounding words. I would also make sure there is
a blank line between the story text and any footnotes.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Question on validating editing?
Katie:
I am probably behind on this one I am sure since I am just home. However, I had this problem. It is a number to identify a footnete.
Now I have one, and I hope the answer does not mess me up. I am validating a book with stories in it. Everytime I get to a new stoffy there is a description of the author and then the story begins. It too has 1 right up next to the title of the story and then after the description of the author on the following page is I believe what is referred to. There is a copyright date for the story and after that is the regular header for the page. I have been taking out the number and also the copyright info on the stories (not the book). Am I doing this wrong? Sure hope not as I am getting toward the end. Will go back and fix if necessary, but hose I don't have to.
