Dishwasher isn't working, and it is old, so I don't think that is an option. It can breath some new life into a dirty keyboard. Been there several times. Had an employee wipe out a keyboard with grape juice once, on a Saturday back in the 1980's when keyboards were not readily available on Sunday, with about 150 pages in the computer needing to be printed. Now keyboards are a dime a dozen or so it seems which is good because I type so much on one that I wear them out beyond cleaning in a year to a year and a half. Usually it is the shift key on the right that goes first, eventually you need a hammer to make it work, and then the space bar goes, nothing spilled just a lot of use. A good thing considering the dammage water alone tends to cause. I've demolished 2 laptops under warinty thankfully. Now i am extremely careful about drinks. The only thing i allow arond my equipment is water, funnily enough, but the water has to be in pritty spillproof bottles. I've never spilled wine simply because I tend to drink it at parties or in company. On the rare times I drink it at home I do it on this squoshy couch. I do read while I drink but I have these earphones that stretch very long so my bn or the nls tape recprder tends to stay out of harms way. My best friend has spilled cofffee a couple of times on her various note takers and she's not much of a coffee drinker. gisela: who hopes this ramble makes sence.
