Hey Patti,
Like Julie said before, having a title page, copyright info, etc. are
strict BookShare guidelines that must be followed. Part of them stem from legal
obligations under the Chafey Amendment, which of course makes BookShare
possible in the first place.

I hope you have better luck in the future and don't get discouraged too
much. Again, like Julie said it can be fun when you get the hang of it.

About your Beaver book, you said there were lots of legible passages. Does
that mean there were more than just a few areas where it wasn't legible?
Perhaps the volunteer who worked on your book thought there were too many
illegible parts and so thought it not to be complete. Completeness means that
no more than one page of core content can be missing from the book. (That's
according to BookShare's guidelines). So perhaps if there were parts of pages
unrecognizable, that's why it got rejected.
Just a guess though.

Good luck in future and feel free to post when you have questions,
Jake

Cindy, the book that is now being validated is Tammy Tell me True by C.R.
Sumner. The ones that were rejected were I'm a Believer by Micky Dolenz,
Ladies of the Club by Helen Hooven Santmyer, (that had no title page, I suppose
I could just write it in the file and resend it? I no longer have the book, it
was a library book and hard to get) and the other one rejected was The World
According to Beaver by Jerry Mathers. That one really did have a lot of
legible passages and I could read it yet it was rejected. I am thinking of
scanning and submitting TotalControl by Randi Masengill, but can't decide
whether I want to do that or not. Thanks,
  Patti
