We counted 52 species here, for the second consecutive weekend.  51 was our 
previous high for the weekend, counted in 2017.  We counted 48 species today.  
Except maybe the Harriers, there’s no migrants in this list.
I watched a Great Egret lumber past, this morning, which was only our third 
record here.  That, along with the Green Herons and Harriers that I reported 
yesterday, were highlights.  There was a single Harrier on the ground, in that 
same field, late this afternoon.
The grain stubble seems to be good hunting for the raptors, right now.  I 
counted 5 Red-tailed Hawks today, including the leucistic bird and its mate, 
which were in view from about 7:45 AM, when I first spotted them, until at 
least 5:00 PM.  They were in a dead ash tree, a little more than ¼ mile across 
the west field, which allowed a decent view.  I digi-scoped a photo, which I 
Flickr posted…my equipment won’t take a photo of it through the scope that’s 
not overexposed, but every now and then I accidently get one that’s almost 
focused.
