We counted 51 species this weekend, which is 13 under our highest-ever 64, on
this 2016 weekend.  The weather was lousy…windy and showery yesterday and just
plain ugly today but, even so, I doubt that we’d have come anywhere near 64,
this weekend.
Highlights were four Swallow species (we counted none on this weekend last
year) that I posted about earlier today.  There were many dozens on the utility
wires, late this morning; about half Rough-winged and half Tree.
There’re not many times of year that we could expect to count 5 Warblers, 5
Sparrows & 4 Swallows on the same weekend!
We counted our FOS Swamp Sparrow yesterday and Yellow-rumped Warbler today.
