We counted 48 species over this long and lazy weekend.  I saw a Yellow-rumped
Warbler on Thursday and Palms every day…there was one in the birch tree,
outside the breakfast-nook window, this morning.  We counted six Woodpecker
species, including good looks at two Sapsuckers that were chasing each other
around the walnut tree, across the road, yesterday.
This was the second consecutive weekend that we’ve counted Rusty Blackbirds!  I
spotted 5-6 of them, on Friday, grazing along the fencerow, across the south
field.  They seemed to be hanging close to the hoard of Robins that have been
sprinkled over the south field, for the last few weeks.  Friday’s Phoebe and
FOS Sandhills were also definite highlights.
