The warbler-on-every-branch magic of last weekend was definitely gone.  Last
weekend's fresh north breeze was replaced by a stiff and muggy south wind
that kept the birds hunkered down.  Even so, we counted a respectable 45
species, including six Sparrow and three Warbler species.  The White-crowned
and Lincoln's Sparrows were FOS.  In fact, the Lincoln's Sparrow was only
our second sighting ever, here.

Field Sparrows were everywhere I looked and raptors were plentiful in the
south-field bean stubble.  There were a number of times that I scanned the
field and counted three Harriers, two Red-tails and a Kestrel.  There were
often vultures on the ground too.

The Peregrine was definitely a highlight.
