We counted 44 species for the second weekend in a row.  Our Sharp-shinned
Hawk appears to have moved on.the little birds seemed more comfortable and
plentiful this weekend.  The good news is that the Sharpie has moved on; the
bad news is that we couldn't count a Sharpie!  

We counted our FOS Brown Thrasher and Chipping Sparrows, as I mentioned
yesterday, as well as a FOS Eastern Phoebe that we spotted today.  The
Bluebirds aggressively chased starlings away from the nest boxes today, but
ignored the Tree Swallows when they sat on the same boxes.  It appears that
both intend to stay on!  

The Redpoll has cooperated for six visitors, though Steve and Teresa Graham
waited several hours for it to show today.  We have not seen it since the
Grahams left, at about 1:00 CDT.
