We counted 45 species again this weekend. We finally counted our FOS RT
Hummingbird on Friday evening and then a FOS Pine Warbler yesterday morning.
I saw Pine Warblers feeding in the post oaks several times yesterday and
several more times again today. Today, I tried desperately to make one a
Yellow-throated Vireo, but just couldn't manage it. It seemed that I saw
Gnatcatchers every time I turned around this weekend. The tree swallows a
carrying feathers to the boxes, which, I think, means they are nearing egg
laying time. We've got Robins, Thrashers and Mourning Doves incubating eggs
and multiple nest of each.and those are only the ones I know about. I think
we may have our first Towhee nest here this year.there is a pair in the pond
thicket, acting like they may stay.
