Hi,

I have not found any reference in the old discussions, so here my
question:

I was looking for a tool which allows me to compare how two gamuts
overlap. I thought that I could find a program which allows me to
create the intersection of two VRML files containing two different
volumes, but have not found a solution so far.

I am also not aware of a tool with such functionality (some can compute gamut volumes, but not intersections). But you might be interested in this simple command line tool: <http://www.qhull.org/> It can compute e.g. the volume of the convex hull of a point cloud.
