No, it asks which Lab space if it ends up with PCS. Odd/Even
has nothing to do with it.

There is no assign, they are all conversions.

Will it allways disregard embedded profiles?

It (currently) doesn't know about or honour embedded profiles,
and it's up to the user to specify the conversion chain.
