Ray Andrews that had a batch file that closed the Doze gui,
dropped to dos. When done type: win
back to gui. Likely other members on list have similar
routine.
Before you get to that, try booting straight into dos. When
doze boots press F8 I think which you
gives you a menu, should be a choice to straight dos.
Otherwise we modify a system file to boot
into
dos all the time, type: win for gui.
If you can get in straight dos without any other network
booted, then you can test if Arachne
connects. Likely will. I will look for the drop to dos file.

This has completely fixed the issue. After booting up just DOS the auto-config
setups worked perfectly. I feel like a complete idiot for not realizing that
Arachne would need to actually run from a pure DOS system. I suppose I had
assumed that Win9x would use the same type of connection as the underlying DOS
system.
Perhaps they should stick that in the help files. Anywho I would much
appreciate that drop to DOS batch, would be a pain in the ass to reboot every
time I wanted to browse the web.
