Arachne runs fine offline exepting that it seems to get stuck loading virtual
screen when I click on

I never used virtual screens for anything. Turn it off, everything speeds up.

The PC is connected to a Ethernet card which is connected directly to a
router. This is the only
connection it has.
I've never even heard of a tcp\ip network stack.
Every operating system utilizes tcp/ip stack to connect to internet. Enter
following similar to below
in arachne.cfg
[profile]
Profile litelan <- unneeded unless you have saved arachne.cfg to a profile
file
Connection READY
Hangup NUL
[tcp/ip]
IP_Address 192.168.1.102 <- static ip address
IP_Grab IP address set to
NameServer use yours
AltNameServer use yours
Gateway 192.168.1.1 <- address of router, some routers use 0.1 instead of 1.1
at end
AltGateway 0.0.0.0
Netmask 255.255.255.0
TCPconfig PPPrtr.CFG
Try above and report what occurs.
