Re: [amayausers] Re: serious help needed!!Definitely agree that 2.8 is causing most of your issues. Most script fonts will run better with auto density as the columns are changing in width. Measure the wide part and the narrow part and it becomes very evident that one density setting "usually" will not give you the best results. ----- Original Message ----- From: Roland R. Have you tried it up around 4? If it is 'fleece' hats and not the knit hats (still having problems with those...) then I'd treat it like a fleece sweatshirt-if you set it too tight it's just going to pull right into the fabric. I just did a couple high loft fleece vests-and it was up around 8 for MT, and lettering was at 4.2 for density. 2 layers of 1 oz. tear away, and solvy on top. Still pulled into the fabric some, but with the 'cordoroy' look of the fleece not much I can do about it. I have a dozen fleece vests to go-but they are Sanmar fleece and it is a smoother face. I've never run anything below even 3.5 for any type of lettering or design-that seems to be way too tight for me. Anyone else jump in here-am I in the right ballpark or not? Herb, I tried a MT that high and the thread was bouncing all over the place! I've got the cut away and the solvy, too. Font is Juliette Script, one inch high, added a center walk and increased pull comp to 180%. The letters are just getting lost in the fleece! I can't figure it out. Oh, the density is set at 2.8. Any suggestions?? Thanks.. LuAnn, Ran some couple weeks ago. MT about 18 with 2 oz. cut-away. Solvy on top. Used 15 cm hoop. Will be here if you need help.
