Andrew, realistically, these BOGOF offers are often applied to goods
precisely because they're coming up on the use by date. It's better for
them to sell something cheaply than to have to throw it away. Also it
means the shelves clear faster so that they can get new stock out there
selling at the normal price. =20

Cheers now.

Ian

Hello all, Of the people on the group that shop at tesco online, have
you ever had this problem when the order is delivered do they ever tell
you that a certain product has only one day or so to go before it is out
of date.

I ask this as I bought some ready pilled potatoes and as they were buy
two and get the third one free I thought it was a good offer but when
my partner read the packet the date was the 3th of August 2004, and I
thought this was bloody disgusting, so this means that we have to eat
three packets of spuds that day, now I know I like my food but not to
that degree but when I phoned to complain I was told as long as they are
sold on that date and not after they were within there rights, I feel
sure that this isn't right. what are your comments on this please.
Regards
