Hi Iain
That is correct. At the moment we’ve extended it to end April 2020 and will
take a view nearer the time on whether we need to extend further. Bottom line
we don’t want to leave customers without books, but we are also trying to find
new ways to bring books to customers. We are starting to broadcast more books
on RNIB Connect Radio which will open it up to anyone on Freeview. We’ve had
great support from publishers who are happy for us to broadcast their books.
We just have to make sure we keep to the right side of the Ofcom regulations so
don’t expect anything that’s not suitable for family listening!
From this week we’re also offering a three month subscription to a daily
newspaper and TV/Radio guide by email for free. The Sunday editions have all
the supplements, so lots of interesting reading for the week ahead.
Thanks
Alison

I have heard that someone was told that Overdrive is not being switched off at
the end of the month after all. Is this true?

Hi David,
You need to register a new account with RNIB Reading Services,
https://readingservices.rnib.org.uk<https://readingservices.rnib.org.uk>.
Once done, you should be able to connect Guide Connect to that account, if
they have enabled it, which I am not sure at this point.
All the best
Steve

Good afternoon,
I am trying to find out what will happen to me, when Overdrive finished at
the end of the month.
I am using Dolphin Guide connect, but so far Dolphin are not being very
helpful.
So if some one on this lust is using Guide connect and downloads book using
Guide connect, Maybe you can tell me how I can go on downloading books after
OverDrive finishes?
Also if anyone can give me the email address of RNIB talking books?
David
