Hi just to make a comment or two about talking books and daisy books. If you were to follow the guidelines to the letter, if you had a talking book only you can listen to that book, if 4 of you wanted to hear it at the same time in a book club you must have 4 copies. How ever you are allowed to make a copy to put on to your mp3 player as you have an original. But when you send the book back you must remove it from the mp3 player. You can buy standard audio books from many high street shops so why should rnib stock them. Daisy is another stories as they are condensed to get up to and over 20 hours of playing time on one disc, the ones in the shops generally last 50 mins per disc. I try to get people thinking that talking books are a service from the rnib who loan out or sell daisy books and the books that you can buy on the high street are audio books. Please note to have a copy of the book you must have the original too and it is for your use only. We can pass them on to a friend. Just like paper books, how many of you would make a copy of a print book or 2 or 3 try and read from the same book at the same time.
