Barbara, I don't think anyone has replied, including me, because you just simply cannot do it. The only way I can think of is to copy your whole iTunes folder found under your profile's music folder (mine is c:\users\Chris\music\iTunes) and paste the folder onto an external device. Then plug your external device onto your desktop and do it the other way round. I'm sorry for not replying, and I'm also sorry to hear you've had no responses. I believe the guys at T&T won't be back till January 5, so guess that doesn't help either. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.

Subject: [access-uk] iTunes help please!

I know there is a list for users of iTunes etc, but I have tried on there and reeceived no replies, so I am trying this list in the hope that there are members here not on that other list.

I am trying to move my iTunes library from a laptop to a desktop. I want to do this by backing up the library to an external USB drive, however when I try to back up it is asking me to insert a disc with apparently no option to change the back up location. Is this possible and if so, how do I go about it?
