Ah well it goes back to the theory I voiced at the beginning of this year that In Touch has a select few who are asked to undertake reviews. I understand that the Orion Web Box was given out to at least 20 people to trial, so where were they on the programme? Not exactly balanced is it?

Given that there have been trials of this device, it's a pity that the rportdidn't include anything from any visually impaired person who had actually used the thing. Ast things stand, I don't think it will cut down significantly on the number of devices on the blind person's desk. In Touch, were not probingenough to ask this very obvious question. tomorrow I will contact wireless for the blind and let them know of the severe limitations of this product. Confused a little by one thing he said, that someone's web box was seemingly updated over night to get a local station. So, is it possible after all to do this remotely? Or have I mis-heard this. bit of the programme? Seems though that Wireless for the Blind fund is now interested so many might stand to get it for free, so we're led to understand. I must say though that In Touch and those taking part seem to live in splendid isolation re. comments on this list over the last month or so. You'd think this is "Thee Solution" to hear them talk on the programme, but we all know it isn't. It will be all the more interesting to hear what RNIB decides.
