Hi Steve,

"I have just ordered the MSI Wind, primarily because it has a slightly more gutsy processor than the Advent on it..."

Hmmm, from what I read the MSI Wind and the Advent are the same. The reviews say that the Advent is the MSI Wind only repackaged under a different brand name for UK market and sold by PC World. It worth mentioning that the new EEEPC is using the Atom Intel processer too.

Cheers,
Amro

Hi Saqib,

I have just ordered the MSI Wind, primarily because it has a slightly more
gutsy processor than the Advent on it. Also, I read in reviews that the fan
on the Advent is a bit noisy. Is this true?

All the best

Steve

Hi Andy I have the Advent 4211 10 inch mini laptop. It has XP HOme and 1GB
RAM and 80 GB hard disk space. Battery life will be around 1 hour and 40
mins roughly. It has 3 USB ports and the fan vents are on the left side. I
run System Access which is my preferred screen reader and I think Jaws will run nicely on the machine. I will run a demo on the machine later to see if Jaws does run properly. This laptop is for £279.99 from PC World and Currys.

I'll let you know how the Jaws experiment went.

Hi all -

Will JFW run under the OS on UMPCs? I don't know anything about UMPCs, but
they look to be a more handy alternative to a laptop? I don't know what
OS
systems UMPCs use, so I'd be interested if anybody has any experience of
using one, what kind of features they offer etc, but this of course is
only
relevant if JFW runs ok! -

Andy
