I would not do that, because 4.5 and 7 have a different directory structure.
For once, I would get a new CD. It is only going to cost you a tenner after
all.

Is it possible to authorise WE onto the MSI Wind or similar without an
installation CD? I've been downloading upgrades for several versions without
bothering to get a new CD.
Would I have to copy the most recent CD I have which is 4.5, and install all
upgrades since then?

Yes, I have the MSI Wind. We are even selling them now with Window-Eyes or
System Access on them. I am doing that because I am so impressed with the
Wind's performance, and the fan makes hardly any noise at all.

You can download any version of JAWS from www.freedomscientific.com thus
obviating the need for a CD. A number of people have used the Advent
4211 including one whose opinion I could personally vouch for.
