AndyI know this might be obvious, but sometimes it's the obvious things that catch us out. Have you checked that the first letter when you type isn't set to capitals? Sometimes this is done by default and could be the problem if the password is case sensitive.

Hi Damon and Marie - Yes, airplane mode is off. The Touch can see my WLAN, the name shows up on the screen, and I double tap to select it, and that brings up the screen with an edit field on to enter my password, and this is where I hit a wall, as when I type it in, and have had sighted help to do this too, it says "connecting to..." then comes back and says "unable to connect to..."I'm able to connect a Kindle to my home network ok, using the same password, but not this Touch. Any further thoughts? -Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "Damon Rose" <damon.rose@xxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 25, 2011 10:39 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Trying to connect my Touch via wi-fiI just use my wep number from the bottom of the modem. Didn't have to do anything else. I assume that in the wireless part of settings, you have wireless turned to on? -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ANDY COLLINS Sent: 25 February 2011 20:27 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Trying to connect my Touch via wi-fi Hi all - Bit stuck, I find my wi-fi name under settings, and try to enter my password, but I get an unable to connect message. Is there something else I need to do, I ask because I Have seen screens asking for IP address, and Router number, and DSN etc, do I need these fields just to connect to my wi-fi, or just my password? - Andy http://www.bbc.co.uk/This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated. If you have received it in error, please delete it from your system.Do not use, copy or disclose the information in any way nor act in reliance on it and notify the sender immediately. Please note that the BBC monitors e-mails sent or received.
