Hi David I moved from Manchester to Paignton in November 2013. On the whole the energy companies have been the worst, especially Eon. I only used them because the previous occupier did. I used them for 32 days exactly and they reported when I rang them, that the account had a 0 balance but they are still pursuing me, I’m known as the occupier; clearly an automated system which treats customers in a very unpleasant way. Obviously, I am with a different supplier but need to use the online system which I hate. I could say a lot more but strongly recommend that you take meter readings say, once a week for a month then, perhaps, once a month. Unfortunately, this means having to get someone to read the damned thing despite the fact that smart meters are now available. Even with these meters I’m not sure I would trust any of these companies. Having said that,my previous suppliers have already repaid me over £300 refund: they were Scottish and Southern. Best of luck David From: David Boden Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2014 2:07 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Online utility accounts I will shortly be needing to move house and get involved with online utility accounts and billing. I would be very interested to hear of people’s good and bad experiences in this regard within the last few months. TIA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following message has been applied automatically, to promote news and information from Nottinghamshire County Council about events and services: We’re looking for people who could become professional foster carers for Nottinghamshire children aged 11+.
