Very unfortunate. Do you not have any household insurance on your equipment?

Hi. When I try to get in to safe mode. The netbook just goes through a loop
and restarts. Sounds like a hard disk problem to me. I took it into PC World
today and they said that there is nothing that they could do as I'm not covered
for accidental damage. The other thing is that they would of charged £30 to
recover the machine. If there is damage to the disk then there is no way of
recovering the hard disk. So I decided not to risk throwing £30 away. Sorry the
machine is no more use than a paper weight now.

Hi Saqib,
While I cannot help directly with your NC10 problem, you may be able to use
Safe Mode unassisted by running the open source and free NVDA Screen Reader. I
have heard that it might be possible to use in Safe Mode with a USB headset.
Take care

Hi all. My NC10 netbook is playing up for some reason. Every time I try to
boot it up it brings up an list of options. They are options relating to safe
mode or starting Windows as normal. When I select any of these options the
process just goes around in a loop and the netbook just reboots and I get the
same screen with those options. I selected start windows as normal and when the
XP logo appears on the screen the machine will then reboot its self. The
machine did take a fall yesterday as it fell off my sofa arm and this problem
accured. I went to shut it down and got up and nearly tripped over the wire and
the netbook flew off the arm of the sofa.
