Hello,

Douglas, the screen reader that Doris is talking about is the new screen reader from Choice Technology, and the URL is correct, www.screenreader.net.

I believe that it may still be officially Beta software until its launch at Sight Village in July. There are two products involved, Thunder, which is the speech screen reader, and Lightning, which is a magnification program. Both packages are free, because they are being funded, or sponsored, by various organisations.

George, you are quite right to point out that what we will get for free is a 'No Frills' solution - if we want the advanced features, we've got to pay for them!

Cheers,

Christopher

That's interesting, Doris, but I think that the earlier discussion was on
something promised from Choice Technology (www.screenreader.co.uk).

I cannot remember having heard of screenreader.net before, but their
product could be a useful addition to what is available, particularly for
beginners.
