Thanks Gordon - but still remains a mystery! When I try to play an item I hear some "clicks" etc. but no sound nor dialogue about installing the codec. Incidentally this is a Vista machine with WMP 11 on it. Reading again one of the other messages in this thread I wonder whether it has to download completely before there is any sound? I think that I might wait to see whether Alasdair has any luck including the necessary codec in an installer.
